Black screen new gcard plz help

so i bought a PNY GeForce 210 1024mb DDR2 for the time being. i installed the driver and put the card in the motherboard. but when i restarted my pc...the screen stays black and wont do crap. is idk whats wrong. i have 380w psu, 3gb ram , enough hard drive space, intel core 2 duo

Were you running integrated graphics before using the 210? If so you need to disable the integrated graphics in the Bios

did you have a card before?
does your motherboard have onboard video?
do you need to go into the bios and select the PCI card as primary display?
what motherboard (make/model) do you have?

Plug the cable back into the integrated video card (I'm assuming this is what you have) which should at least let you back into the BIOS. Then, enter BIOS and as the two posters above have said, and try switching the graphics card from integrated to PCIe.

I couldnt switch. It's not on the bios tab on the setup and I have a Foxconn G33M02

are you plugging the monitor directly into the card?

Hmm... That's a tricky one. Do you have a friend with another card that you could try? Maybe you just got a bad card.

That's for your help. I talked to the customer service they said this model had problems with older dell pc so I bought a new one PNY GeForce GT 430 works great
