About in order the parts from Newegg and Tiger direct. I don't plan on overclocking so as far as that goes...

Anyhow, here is the basic rundown of the parts. Would just like one last check before I order them

XFX 7850 1GB

I5 - 3450

Asrock h77 pro4

CX500V2 500W psu

Asus 20"

ASUS DVD burner

Windows 7

Western Digital 500GB caviar blue

G skill ripjaws 4GB 1600

Gaming phericals

Rosewill Challenger black gaming ATX case

Total ~ 1080 USD

P.S. Sorry if the posts looks hastily put together...just needed one last quick check :p

I think I'm actually going to get a 600W psu. 500W seems pushing it.

Actually 500w is perfectly fine for an HD7850 :)  that's one of the most power efficient cards you can find.

Everything looks fine, though!

Why are you buying a 200 dollar quad when the i3 can do all you need for 100?

Well if OP's budget allows, I would've recommended an i5 to begin with if he had chosen an i3.

i3 is still a very modest CPU, however.

@ OP

Good luck and have fun! :)

My experience with future proof has always turned into a new computer.

The i3 vs i5, as mentioned is all about your budget. You will likely never use all of either cpu.
