Hi there!

Question: I love my computer, it's awesome and fast enough for me personally. However, sometimes the CPU usage randomly drops to values <10% and my computer just freezes for a couple of seconds. It doens't bother me when browsing sites that much but when i'm gaming this CPU drop creates a lag spike which really really annoys me because the lag spike always occus at the worst possible moment.

I uploaded for you guys to illustrate. Image

I was going to edit my original post to add specs but I can't edit it ...

Specs:

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz 37 °C
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Z77X-D3H (Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz) 28 °C
Graphics
DELL 1707FP (1280x1024@60Hz)
DELL U2312HM (1920x1080@60Hz)
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
Hard Drives
119GB SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series ATA Device (SSD)
932GB Seagate ST1000DM005 HD103SJ ATA Device (SATA) 35 °C

My core temperatures seem to be at a stable 30 degrees and they go to 40 when I'm gaming heavily, which seemed OK to me. ...

Please help! I'm at a loss what to do :(

Fine tune your (autmatic TurboBoost) overclock using the Intel Extreme Tuning utility.
