Ok, so I have a problem with my monitor going white then black, then it shuts down. My rig is still powered on and I can still hear the audio going from Itunes, BUT!!! I end up re-booting it since it doesn't turn back on.

I think it might be either one of these problems that I am having:

1. The video card temp got too high

2. It might be the new Nvidia driver (301.42 WHQL). Hear it has a lot of problems lately.

3. Something is wrong with my VGA cable or the monitor itself.

I believe it may be problem #2 since my temps usually get high on the 296.10 drivers and its been fine for awhile and so is my monitor. Any help or suggestions if you can thanks.

Here are my specs:

P5LD2-VM ASUS LGA 775 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @1.86 Ghz w/LOGISYS Computer ALPHA 400ST IC4100AST 92mm Hydro Bearing LGA 775 CPU Cooler

2x2GB DDR2 PC2 6400 Gskill F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Zotac Geforce GT 430 w/ 301.42 WHQL driver

WD5000 500GB SATA HDD

Western Digital 160GB HDD

APEVIA 650w psu

ModTek Spartan V Mid-Tower

Solution
Roll back the drivers if that does not help. Best way of eliminating is to try the monitor on a different computer. If fine the GPU is the next one

I already did everything except roll back the drivers. Monitor was fine on my other builds and I'm using the 430 for architectural software vigorously and still fine. Maybe just the driver then?
