Hello, this is a revised post. I am looking for a setup built around the i7 990x Extreme Edition. I was given one for free, so please no replies about how the '' 990x is a waste'', and ''You should sell it and buy something cheaper!''. I want this build to utilize the 990x's power. I want to be playing top tier games at 1080p on Maxed out settings with 60~ish FPS for at least a couple years after this PC is built, so a respectful GPU is needed, maybe a SLI setup if my budget allows it. I also want a blu ray player so if you can put together a parts list for me, please include a blu ray player and disc reader.http://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/smilies/sol.gif
Approximate Purchase Date: Within a month most likely
Budget Range: 800-1200 US Dollars
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming at 1080p/ Rendering 1080p video through Sony Vegas/ browsing the web/ netflix streaming
Parts Not Required: I don't need a CPU. I already have a extreme edition Intel i7 990x I was given. I would like the PC built around the cpu
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg and amazon
Country: USA
Parts Preferences: by brand or type : None as long as the parts are reliable and budget friendly
Overclocking: Yes most likely
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe but probably not unless there is an affordable option
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080/ Maybe a dual monitor setup if im feeling adventurous.
Additional Comments : I would like an SSD and a solid 7200rpm HDD included also. It would be nice if this computer be a bit ''future proof''( still being a relevant PC in 2+ years ) besides the CPU being based on older architecture.
Thanks, InventorOfLag
