What's up with csrss.exe

Hi,
I was wondering what is the process csrss.exe that I see in TaskManager...
I found conflicting info in the web that it might me a normal system32 process or a trojan if found elsewhere.. Any ideas?

Hi,

what I do when I don't know if my pc is infected or not is using the tool HijackThis (google it to get the download link). It will create a log file containing all running processes.
You can upload the log file on this website to see if your process is malware http://www.hijackthis.de/en
