I was wondering what is the process csrss.exe that I see in TaskManager...
I found conflicting info in the web that it might me a normal system32 process or a trojan if found elsewhere.. Any ideas?

what I do when I don't know if my pc is infected or not is using the tool HijackThis (google it to get the download link). It will create a log file containing all running processes.
You can upload the log file on this website to see if your process is malware

csrss.exe is the user-mode portion of the Win32 subsystem; Win32.sys is the kernel-mode portion. Csrss stands for Client/Server Run-Time Subsystem, and is an essential subsystem that must be running at all times. Csrss is responsible for console windows, creating and/or deleting threads, and implementing some portions of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment.

Note: The csrss.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In other cases, csrss.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm!
