Debating between A6-4400M and i3 3110M

I'm looking for a budget laptop, willing to pay around 500$.. So I found a couple, I'll give you the links so it could be more simple.

Dell: http://configure.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=ni15ra5_ft_012&model_id=inspiron-15r-5520&c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1

HP: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-g6-15-6-laptop-black-amd-a6-4400m-750gb-hdd-6gb-ram-windows-8-g6-2264ca/10225900.aspx?path=3422efc93269f5a95195d126c340b5a9en02

Acer: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/acer-acer-aspire-v3-15-6-laptop-black-amd-a6-4400m-750gb-hdd-6gb-ram-windows-8-v3-551-7844/10225630.aspx?path=6f09446d8b2f4059770b24f0eeb051aben02

Samsung: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/samsung-samsung-series-3-15-6-laptop-silver-amd-a6-4400m-750gb-hdd-6gb-ram-windows-8-np355v5c-a04ca/10225728.aspx?path=9ad7adae6c055d463d44e2a2f6ba3b9den02

The only stuff I am interested in comparing are the processors, because the rest are some minor differences. I've done some research myself and I'm coming here to confirm my understanding, because some stuff wasn't so clear on the net.

Dell has the i3 3110M with HD 4000, the others AMD A6-4400M with 7520G graphics. Am I right to say that the Intel based laptop is a faster cpu, but the 7520G has a better graphics performance? If so, is the 7520G MUCH better than the HD 4000? I'm looking for a balance between regular use, and some gaming (not major as these two GPUs aren't meant for that).

Yes in terms of sheer CPU power the I3 will be faster and more powerful than the APU but it has weaker integrated graphics. The APU is the opposite, weak CPU core but better integrated graphics.
  2. Either way I would still take the faster I3 over the APU.
  3. I'm going for the i3 3110m, since it's faster and performs pretty much equally to the 7520G for graphics. Thanks for the input guys! :)
