CPU performance

Well I have done some wide searching and have found this CPU AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.5 GHz quad-core socket AM2+ CPU processor HD9850WCJ4BGH and wanted to get your advice on how you think this might perform. I cant get all the parts to build a new computer right now so I am just trying to upgrade the cpu. My gpu is a fairly nice one ATI Radeon 4650 HD. 4 GB of memory.

With these being my options and with a max of 95watts on the system board - System Board - M2N68-la narra 5

CPU combatibility - AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Athlon X4
AMD Athlon X3
AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)

With most of these being discontinued it's seems nearly impossible that this upgrade is possible, so can I get your opinion on the cpu mentioned above.

Thanks.

  1. Here's where Tom's ranks the CPUs for gaming. As you can see, the PhX4 9850 is down with the Core2Duos in gaming capability.

Of the ones in your list, the PhIIX4 is the best.
  2. AMD phenom X4 like 965be,970t is best
