CPU for Audio Production and Gaming

Hello, just a quick question. I am considering buying a prebuilt computer with an i5 3450, or an i5 3330. Looking at benchmarks for these two processors they seem to have very similar performance. My question is if either one will be adequate for audio production, and later gaming when I add a better GPU and PSU to the PC. I use a lot of vst's, and use fl studio as my DAW if that means anything to anyone.
Anything you can tell me about these processors performance would be much appreciated. The audio production I am doing isn't going to be professional, so I don't see myself needing insane amounts of processing power, i'M just wondering how these processors stack up for the kind of work I'll be doing.
