First Gaming PC

Hey guys don't know if this is the right section, but I am just looking for advice as to which build I should take. I have looked around on the forums and it seems that alot of people are recommending the i5 2500k, but originally I was going with a AMD build but I am now having second thoughts so here are the 2 builds that I am considering to buy. Please say which one I should buy and why and I am at a budget of around £570.

Intel Build:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad Core Processor
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 550 Ti DirectCU TOP 1GB Graphics Card
MOBO: MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Socket 1155 Motherboard
I don't think the rest is too relevant..

AMD Build:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Quad Core Processor
GPU: Gainward NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Graphics Card 1024MB
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 PCI-Express ATX Motherboard GA-970A-DS3

Which one should I purchase and why? I will be using the PC mostly for gaming (games like BF3, Skyrim, Gta, etc) and I will be also using it to edit videos (and rendering them) in sony vegas and adobe after effects and web browsing of course.

Thank you.

  2. Are you going to just do gaming or are you going do more everyday stuff too? Also what resolution are you using that matters also?
