I'm building my first gaming pc with a $1000 budget. I want a list of the best parts I can buy within that price range. Not including the monitor, or mouse and keyboard.

Approximate Purchase Date: The next couple months

Budget Range: $1000-1100

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and surfing the web. I won't be using it for anything else. I'll be playing games like Black Ops 2, Starcraft 2, Supreme Commander 2, and Borderlands 2.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.

Location: South Bend IN, US

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: I'll be using my tv as a monitor. It's a 19" Vizio. That's all I know.

Those games are relatively low requirement. I'd get an i5 3570K and 7870. They'd play any game you want for the next few years.

Also if that 19" Vizio only is say 1280 x 1024 you can get by with a far cheaper PC but i suggest upgrading to a nice big juicy display as that alone adds a lot to the whole PC experience :p
