HI,

can someone tell me more about cas latency & registered DIMMs. What I know is registered DIMMs allow u to use more than 2 memory modules. for cas latency i'm kind a blur. Cos what i heard, that the module with CAS latency of 2 is very rare. But I found one that is quite cheap, I dunno know the quality though. Here it is TWINMOS 128MB -266MHz- (Assorted chips) CAS-2 @ 26$

SO, which one is more important? or they can be compared?

Can someone give me a more clear vision?

Thx alot in advance

Take a browse through the FAQs at crucial.com and mushkin.com. They should clear a lot of things up for you.

I agree with Arrow, check out the FAQ's.

While registered DIMM's will allow you to use more than 2 slots it is slower than unbuffered ram because it delays the transfer of data by one clock cycle.
