So I am looking to build my own computer and am looking at graphics cards. I do not know whether i should go with two GeForce 8400 gs's for around $60 total or a GeForce GTX560 SE/GeForce GTX550 TI (either or) for around $120. My cousin is running two 8400's and runs skyrim just fine. I guess I'm wondering if the 560/550 is worth the extra $60 or if the 8400's will cut it and if the 560/550 is the better route to go with one out of the two is better? I'm looking to use the comp mainly for gaming (swtor, skyrim, etc...) but looking to save some money. I'm trying to keep my price range around $60-120. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would say to got with the 550ti vs the 8400 since the 550ti is a much newer card. Also the 550ti would have better performance vs 8400s.

So I'm guessing two 8400's are clearly not the way to go then haha. So between the 550 ti and the 560 se which are better performance wise? I figured I'd run with either of these two because they're not too expensive and that gives me some time before id have to upgrade again.

Ok, thank you for the info I think I'm going to go with the 560 se. My last question is on the nvidia website they don't list a 560 se specifically, is it listed as something else or am I just not seeing it?

for $60 more you can get someting that 10 times or even 20 times more powerful than 2 8400GTs combined :D . Joking aside with a single 560 SE it will enable you to run all the games out there on high setting even at 1080p. what is your preferred gaming resolution?

go to nvidia.com or geforce.com. if you still can't find just use google. spec wise the card was pretty similar to GTX460 SE. given they have same clock speed the performance should be identical between the two

Preferred resolution is 1920 x 1080 on 2 monitors.

In the same price range, you'd be looking at the HD77xx or HD68xx cards but the GTX560 is still a better option. Not exactly too sure about the GTX560 SE though...
