Amd FX-6300 and performance.

Hello fellow computer experts, I have a really important question about the amd fx-6300. Will it do good with and 6870 and will it run most games like medium to high?(GTAIV,GTAV,DAYZ,Etc.) I already bought it and I am just wondering what I should expect, Also I plan on overclocking this to at least 4.1GHZ, Thank you for your time!
Other Specs:
-8gb ddr3 1600mhz
-1tb 7200RPM
-Msi 970-g46

i havnt seen a bad review of it. and i have read about 6 from different sites. There have been diver revisions since its release and its recommended by the experts at toms as best for its price point.
