  1. Consider this instead:

    CPU: I5 3570k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
    Motherboard: AsRock z77 Extreme 4
    RAM: Mushkin Blackline 2 x 4GB
    OS drive: Plextor M3 Pro
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB
    GPU: EVGA GTX 670
    Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
    PSU: Corsair HX750W
    Optical: Sony DVD drive
    OS: Win 7

    Total: $1367.12

I suggested the Ivy Bridge CPUs because they perform about 5% better per clock compared to the Sandy Bridge.

There is no reason to have a $300 case. Ideally, you'll want to spend under $150 or even $100. Cooler Master HAF XM is also a good midtower case.

The price difference between the 670 and 680 isn't worth it. Another good alternative is the 7970.
