  1. Can I ask why your set on amd?

You can get a nvidia 560ti for $180 after rebates. The closest amd card to the 560 ti is the 6950 which is very very slightly faster, but seems to be at $230 cheapest.
  2. Umm, that would be kind of difficult, for less than $200.00 especially for crossfire. The best you can do at that much is crossfire 6770, but that at most will get you roughly medium settings or modified high settings.
  3. I would say just go with the best single card you can afford. A 560Ti would be a good start. You could get a GTX 480 for that money these days as well.
You would need to be sure you have a good enough power supply first especially for the 480.
I prefer the 560 especially this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500196
its actually faster than the 480 in some games.

    Mactronix :)

sure you can I guess Im a lot newer to this than I thought, my mother board is amd and It has crossfire x on it and was told by tigerdirect that I need to use amd cards for crossfire and gforce is for sli
  5. I use the AMD 6850 myself, its ok - good. The sapphire 6850 is quite and is very good at cooling. but please do NOT get the XFX as it's cooling is not pleasant.

What motherboard do you have please ?
Crossfire X is different from Crossfire and SLI its to do with running the GPU linked with your Onboard graphics.

  7. Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB

    $200 before $10 rebate

Like everyone told you, I'll say it yet again: forget crossfire.

Buy the best single card you can. For 200 bucks the 6950 2GB is your best option.

^^ by far the best deal for AMD and $200 budget
  10. As some has stated, the 6950 2gb is your best choice. Definitely better than a crossfire setup.
  11. Best deal:

It's much faster than HD 6950. Much, much faster. Make sure to have a decent power supply for it though (500w+ quality brand).
  12. Edit: As others have stated, you're better off going with a single $200 dollar card than two $100 cards in crossfire.

I'd also recommend the 6950 2gb if you can find it for $200
