The sapphire one will perform better as it is factory overclocked :)
But the HIS one is for 235$ after rebate and sapphire one is way too expensive as compared to the HIS one.. you can overclock the HIS one and attain the same performance as Sapphire card :)
better go for HIS card

That review is trivial. That was not retail card reviewed. They fixed the heat and sound issues. It DOES NOT go that hot.

So what it's going to be replaced soon? The OP wants to buy a card today, not in 12 months. And today GTX 480 is the best deal below $350. Period.

I have never seen a 480 running cool without being put under water.(give a proof and your point will be accepted ;) ) also check the fps per watt you get in a 480 its a waste I will say..
It will all depend on the op, if he wants to upgrade his card after an year and keep a frying pan inside his cabinet then 480 is a good option, not to forget the power bill which will follow this.
else if you want the latest tech with low power consumption and similar performance go with 7850
and 7850 can be overclocked to reach GTX580 levels(near to that)
which 480 cannot as it will be running at a load temp of around 95c(you can boil egg over it :p )
see the difference in power consumed :

of course the sound and heat can be controlled by an after market cooler (still it runs hot and overclocking is near to impossible on this hot card unless it is under water) but an overclocked 480 is still a joke because of the power it is going to consume which is double that of 7850, that's a lot... and there is no way to control it other than going for the latest tech, no one want to end up paying huge electricity bill for gaming(I don't want to do that, don't know about you)
