How can you tell what the RPM speed on a hard drive is without physically looking at the H/D? Need to know if it is 5400 or 7200. (Western digital. Is there a way to check in Windows? Or start up? (98)

When the computer just boot it show you all your IDE connection with device model number. You can use the model number to find the the spec on the drive from manufacturer's web site.
