Anyway to update Bios

I recently bought a new i5 3450 ivy bridge for my shore computer and i am using a motherboard that has a bios for sandy bridge proccessors! is there anyway i can update the bios?

i doubt it but you could check on the manufacturers website to see if the mobo you have would be able to support it with an update.

but even if it does you would have to get a CPU that the mobo supports to make the PC even boot to apply the update

it will support it but i just need to update the bios

well the only problem now is trying to find a CPU that would work in the mobo with the current BIOS so you can boot and apply the update
