Acer Aspire ONE D255 - White screen after replacement

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire ONE D255 that had a broken screen. I decided to change the screen, but when I turned it on, it gave me a white screen. I checked the screen on another laptop of same model and the screen works just fine, so it is not a defective unit. I then got a new flex video cable, but when I installed it and tried to turn it on, it gave me the same white screen! I connected the laptop to an external monitor and it works just fine! Im out of ideas. Please some one help me out.

I have the exact problem on mine. I don't think its a back light or inverter. And since you have fully tested the screen I don't think its a loose connection either.

From some of the searches I've done it seems the bios may be the issue. I've upgraded bios but that doesn't seem to do it. The closest thing I've found to a fix for this is purchasing a new bios chip and replacing it.

I am getting ready to try this since they are only like 20$

I will let you know, and please update me if you find a fix.
