Hi.

I've never made a PC before and I will soon, but I am a little confused, since I use a laptop, will I have to plug in the HDMI cable from the monitor into the GPU or mobo for display? Thanks in advance. I am aware that my monitor does have a HDMI port as well as my GPU and MOBO.

The onboard video will be disabled in the BIOS when you start up your computer. The cable will be connected to your GPU.
