I'm looking for a shopping cart/merchant account solution to sell
prints from my digital photos.

This would be the ideal setup:
Post images, shopping cart shows thumbnail, customer orders any size
print, print shop creates print and mails to customer. I get to collect
the difference between the printing cost and my selling price.

Does such a service exist?

If not, I can get a regular shopping cart and merchant account. Can
someone recommend a high quality photo service that will print archival
prints that I can order and have sent to customer's shipping address?

Thanks,

Dan

Most Professional photo labs have this service for their clients.

Take a look at www.photoreflect.com. They handle all the e-commerce, give
you several labs to hook up with and give you web templates to use in
setting up your web storefront. They get 15%, but set your prices
accordingly.

FotoTime.com recently added it. I haven't investigated, but they are
good and quick otherwise.

Check out fotki at www.fotki.com
They offer all services to photographers for reasonable prices and their
pages are very easy to use.

www.fotki.com and they let you co-brand the pages (i.e., incorporate
into your own web site layout). I have been frustrated trying to get
them to respond to co-branding questions though.

I use and like the Printroom, at:

<http://www.printroom.com>

Shutterfly also has a commercial section.

I checked out every link that was posted in this thread, and I think
choosing between services is mostly about what works best for each
individual. Some are very quick and dirty for posting and setting up
your pages, which can be good if you simply want to get your photos
posted from an event. Some have pretty lame support and explanations.

I think if a person is thinking about a service to post and sell their
prints they should check out all of the sites listed here.

I really like smugmug for my application. It integrates well into an
existing web site and has the best help section of any site I checked
out. They also have unlimited storage and traffic.

Take a look at www.ezcat.com. Its a pretty flexible ecommerce solution
that has been used before for selling photos in the past.
