Hi guys,

apologies if this has been anwered before but I'm trying to get everything
sorted before my new phone arrives. What are the ways that data can be
transferred from my PC to my phone? Will I need to purchase new hardware to
do it? I'm really not bothered about transfer speeds or anything like that
as I doubt I'll be changing it very often.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Cheers,

Ben

You need a (DKU-2) cable or a bluetooth or infrared dongle for your PC
which you can get cheaply from ebay. You then just need some software.

Is this in Windows?

If it's just MP3s you're bothered about you can also use a USB MMC card
reader (available from just about any computer shop for £10 - £20) and copy
the files onto the MMC card directly. This is the fastest and most reliable
way to do it, however it has the disadvantage that you have to take the back
off your phone and the battery out of it to take out the MMC card. The back
case is very hard to get off.

Ah ok, thanks for that. I've noticed that the more you take off Nokia cases,
the looser they get.

"The back case is very hard to get off" (your quote)

I'm glad I'm not the ONLY one that has found this. I thought it may have
just been me :-)

Hey, Wonder if anyone is able to answer the following for me....

Have you been able to download videos from you SP?
I'm with Vodagroan (UK), tried downloading a "News video clip", but phone
kept reporting "server access denied" :-(

I DO have MMS and all provisioned.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks in anticipation

Sometimes it's really easy. I'm not sure what I'm doing that makes it hard
or easy. Looking at the clips when the back is off you can see how it's mean
to press into place, then slide back a few mm to lock into place. Sometimes
to undo it I can just press the button and push on the bit that sticks out
where the camera is to push it back and it slides back really easily. Other
times it won't slide back no matter what I do.

I really have no idea, sorry. I've not tried downloading video yet.
