Upgrade from a MSi 460 cyclone to a Radeon HD 6950 2GB

PC specs .
AMD 1090 T @ 4.0 ghz, Voltage 1.37
MSI 460 Cyclone
8 gb ram ddr3 1600 mhz, 2 sticks
Biostar A870U3 Ver. 6.x
PSU 650 Watt.

I want to upgrade, but haven't really owned a Radeon in my life. If I do end up buying this I will be using it for about 2 years

I found this deal which is a great value

  1. Great deal for that card and 2 games. You see it on Slickdeals?

Not sure what you are asking. It's a good upgrade and should be a good card.

Seems like a good upgrade to me. The 6950 is pretty cool, and thats a really low price for a 2GB version!
  3. 6950s are great cards (coming from a guy who in general has a history of avoiding AMD), and are probably one of the few AMD cards I would think about getting over other options, should I be given the option.

+1 to that. I always thought Nvidia was better until I got this, and its probably the best thing I have ever bought. Gonna keep it for at least 4 more years.
  5. I actually did see it on slickdeals :) I bought and should come later this week. Thanks for the reply's
