I am building a computer and will these parts run most to all games on ultra espically Bf3 and Skyrim.

I am building it from scratch and have to do it within a $700 AUD

This is what i have so far:

Cpu= Intel i5 2500k
gpu= Gainward Nvidia Gtx 660
ram= 2x4 ddr3 ram
Hard drive= 250gb
psu= 600w Big ant
case= Coolermaster k280
motherboard= Asus P8H61-M-LX3 R2.0 Motherboard
cd rom= already have...

any advice will be great also this is my first time fully building a gaming pc from scratch...

yes the 660 will do 60fps on ultra in Skyrim and bf3 (but not on multiplayer)
Since you're gettin a K-series cpu, be sure to snag a decent cpu cooler. You are going to want to overclock that I'm sure!

Thankyou
In regards to the Gtx 660 will it be able to handle multiplayer at an average of 50fps?
also do you know any good non water based coolers?

it should mang, 45-50 should make sense, if it comes with a decent cooler prob lightly overclock it for more juice :)

i reckon you might want a better psu though cause sometimes cheap brands like that don't exactly deliver what they advertise

well most games on high+, dude. u gotta realise ur within a limited budget this builds better than ur previous build has a decent powersupply and better hd and case :)

also it depends on what resolution you'll be running the games at, cause with 1280x1024 (avgerages 60+ fps)it should be fine, but with 1920x1080 or higher you might struggle with achieving ultra graphics with a decent fps rate

also best you don't get the thermaltake power supply cause they are crap, best get a more trusted brand

thats the best u can get for that budget, well ud need a step up in videocard so the gtx 660 is 235$ id say another 100$ or so for ultra imo depending on title.

high+ :)  and probably high to ultra on skyrim. bf3 is alot more taxing since its multiplayer and has alot of objects on the screen at the same time :p

Okay well i have $950 AUD worth of funds but that money needs to include mouse and keyboard, monitor, copy of Bf3, Farcry3 and all the computer parts i was wanting to use 3 monitors ( http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technolog... ) i can get these from my local officeworks and there $345 for all.
I do have a keyboard laying around and can worry about that later i also have a dvd drive and that is all.
So if you could help thanks.

7870 is faster than a gtx 570, equivalent to a gtx 580. also 660ti is faster than a 7870, :)

so gtx 660 ti
also what your opinion on three monitors or one big one?

u wont have the juice to run 3 monitors tbh, ur gonna want a stronger card than a gtx 660ti if ur running tri-monitors, one 24inch+ should be fine.

yep gtx 660ti is ur budget range.
