Acer monitors resolution problem

Hello,
I have an Acer PC. Every now and again on startup, the resoulution reset itself to 1024x768 from 1920x1080. i reset it, savethe changes and it is Ok for a while, then it resets to to the lower resolutio. Any thought on how to make the change to higher resolution permanent?

which monitor do you have? the exact model number please.
