Hey guys I'm planning to build my gaming rig. My budget is between $1700 to $1800. I already bought some of the parts and I have already chosen some of them too. I just have problem in selecting the rest of the components that I need. i hope you guys can help me out. :)

Approximate Purchase Date: Mid August

Budget Range: $1700 to 1800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Web Design, Graphic Arts

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Country: USA

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes (FUTURE PLAN)

Processor:i7 Intel Core i7 2700K @ Microcenter for $239.99 BOUGHT

Motherboard:???

Memory:??? (4x4GB 16GB)

Video Card 1:??? (For now I just need one GPU, is MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II in Newegg a good choice?)

Video Card 2: (Future plan for SLi not part of the budget)

Monitor: ???(LED 23"-24" with wall mount option)

Computer Case: Should I pick Thermaltake Element V or Cougar Evolution? (Or any below $100 mid tower case with cable management and side window?)

SSD: OCZ Agility 3 @ Microcenter for $79.99 BOUGHT

HDD: I have 1TB Seagate (not included in the budget)

Media Drive: Asus Bluray drive + DVD writer combo @ Newegg for $54.99

PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 750w @Microcenter for 98.97 BOUGHT

Keyboard: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 @ Newegg for $47.99

Mice: CYBORG R.A.T. 5 at Newegg for $69.99

Thank you! :)

(I can still return some of the items if its a bad choice. Since I haven't used them yet and still under 30days return policy in Microcenter) :p

nice deal for the cpu but bad choice for the SSD and psu

at this price range, you can really use a nice mechanical keyboard. i prefer blue and red switches. blue is loud and very tactile while red is really linear and silent. reds are better for games and feel like regular keyboards while the blue switches are comparable to the really old clacky keyboards. got you a nice corsair k60 red switch keyboard

Thank you for the idea. I can still return the purchased products thought. :)

With your budget I would look at something like this down below. It leaves you money for your monitor, mouse, etc... and still gives you the option to add another one of those cards later on.
