I am in the process of building my first pc and have run into a problem and was hoping you guys could help me out.

i have a cit vantage gaming case and an asus sabertooth 990fx mobo. the case comes with four fans which appear to have molex connectors to go directly into the psu but i want the fans to connect to the mobo so that it can control the fans.

what can you suggest? should i use mobo or should i go directly into psu?

any advise would be a great help, thank you.

and could you suggest what psu to use with these components - asus sabertooth 990fx, phenom iix4 965, 500gb hard drive, dvd cd combo drive, 8gb 1600 ram, amd 6870 gpu, im looking to spend no more than £130 on psu.

again thank you for your help.

the only fan that is usually controlled by the MB is the CPU fan, an donly if its a PWM fan. the MB just supply power. the Fan are however monitored by the MB for speed. to actually control them you need a fan controller. Just plug them in via the molex connector to the PSU.
