Upgrading my 1.5 Year Old PC [Video Card/Processor/RAM]

Currenty:
Windows 7 64-bit
AMD Athlon II x4 640 Processor 3.00 Ghz
MSi 460 GTX Cyclone
4GB Reaper DDR3
TSeries TA785G3 HD Motherboard
630w PSU

I want to upgrade to a 6 core AMD, add 4 more GB (not sure which one to buy since these I can't find anywhere anymore) and want to upgrade my video card.

What would I need to do, just buy upgrades and install? Just want to make sure it is compatible with what I have.

I want to get a newer 2012 GTX, any suggestions?
Want to upgrade to 6 or 8 core, any suggestions?
Which stick of ram to get to add to the ones I alrdy have?

All of this is mainly for StarCraft 2 to keep it running on ultra and for it to be as economical but being upgrades to what I have.

Thank you for the help if any.

More about upgrading year video card processor
  1. that motherboard is not AM3+, so you can add a Phenom II X6 1100 if you can still find them. It won't be that huge an improvement, honestly. you have 4 ram ports, so any second set of same-speed dual-channel RAM should work to increase your memory.

The GTX 660 ti is coming out soon (Next month?) and would be a sizable improvement to your GPU
  2. So for the processor, if I want a noticable upgrade I need a new mobo? Sorry if this asking for the same answer in a different sentence xD

What would I need to add an 8 core and which one would be the one to get?
  3. you would need an AM3+ motherboard, preferably a 970 or 990 chipset. the 970 doesn't have crossfire/SLI.

    an 8-core 8120 and a 970 board is about $228:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: AMD FX-8120 3.1GHz 8-Core Processor ($149.99 @ Newegg)
    Motherboard: ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($77.55 @ Newegg)
    Total: $227.54

however, if you are getting a new motherboard anyway, Intel is just better, and not that different in price:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $254.98
