Which one is better? For games only and what are the pros and cons of each one?

Planning to pair them up with
1 TB SATA III
GTX 670
8GB ram ddr3 1866 mhz

i5-3570K :

pros : it's faster, better, consumes less power.

Cons : price



FX-8150 pros : price

Cons : everything.


Get the i5-3570k, and a z77 mobo and happy gaming.

^+1 stick to the 3570k, Intel stomps AMD when it comes to gaming performance.

3570k resides at the top of the list meaning its one of the best processors. For your motherboard, IF you are going to overclock the Asrock extreme 4 will do fine. If not overclocking then maybe an H77 will do fine for you. Though I highly suggest you overclock, its basically free performance that only requires your time and a good CPU cooler.

Can't think of one scenario where I'd pick an 8150 over an i5. 8350 would be a better competitor.
