Hey guys, I want to make my own computer. This will be the first time I ever made one. My brother told me that this place is extremely helpful, so I decided to come and ask for some advice. I'm going to be making it a gaming rig.
Approximate Purchase Date: This Month
Parts not needed: Graphics card and Monitor
Budget Range: Around $1000
System Usage: I'm going to be using this as a gaming computer, but i will also be watching movies and all that.
Are you buying a monitor: I'm picking that out separately at a later time, so not needed.
Location: Paramus, New Jersey, USA
Parts Preferences: Case: A Mid-Tower Coolermaster or the NZXT that i have in my link below HDD: 1TB RAM: 8GB CPU: The best for what it's worth can be AMD or Intel Graphics: I already have a Gigabyte Super Overclocked Radeon HD5770
SLI or Crossfire: No
I'm currently on a budget laptop that i guess is alright. But, it's not a gaming laptop and it's starting to get worse compared to the newer games.
No. For that price go with a Corsair 400R, NZXT Phantom 410, or Cooler Master HAF 922. The Antec 900 is so old and outdated that it's hard to recommend it anymore. If you want to stick with Antec - their newer 1100 has better cable management and air flow.
