Hey,
So i'm 99% sure about the gaming rig build i want to buy and if everyone thinks its good i will buy everything next week so it arrives at sydney before i get home from this work trip. :)

Here it is:

Here is new build using all of your input:

CPU - i5 3570k - $235
Memory - Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 - $65
Video Card - ZOTAC GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 Video Card - $480
Mobo - ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard - $155
SSD - Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SSD - $123
HDD - Western Digital WD Black 2TB WD2002FAEX - $189
PSU - Antec High Current Gamer 620W Modular HCG-620M - $115
CPU Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler - $35
Case - Aerocool X-Predator Case White Edition - $150
Mouse - Cyborg MMO 7 - $130
Monitor - Achieva Shimian QH270 - IPSBS 27inch 2560 x 1440P white edition (to match case!!) - $300

Total = $1977

This system will be mainly used for mmo's like guild wars 2 and wow etc.
Any hints and tips on what i have chosen would be fantastic. Thanks everyone. :D

Also will my zotac amp gtx670 be able to have another one sli'd in my setup later down the track as i'm fairly sure it takes up 3 slots per video card so i will need a motherboard capable of 6 pci slots?

Build looks good. Couple of tips.

Which 670 were you looking at? the Zotac Amp? I would get a 670 that takes up 2 pci-e slots. A mobo with 6 PCI-E slots get very expensive, especially if you are not going to use the extra slots. If you are planning to add another GPU later then buy a motherboard that will be compatible with the two you decide on now. Also buy a big enough PSU to adequately power the 2 GPUs you choose. Its much cheaper to buy what you need for your planned upgrade, rather than selling and re-buying components later on.

I like the EVGA GTX 670 FTW.

the gigabyte gtx670 is a better choice. or the msi gtx670 power edition

get gskill ripjaws x 2x4gb 1600mhz since it fits beter under the heatsink

get a crucial m 128gb or a samsung 830 128gb SSD instead. they perform better

just get a 1tb for now. i have yet to see someone use more than 1tb of storage

if you plan on running 2 cards in the future, id definitly get a corsair hx750w or a tx750w v2 since 620w isnt quite enough to be safe about it. if you only plan on using one video card, a 520-550w will be enough. for the psu i suggested, a silverstone would also be nice

if you really want a white case, id suggest the nzxt switch 810 (overkill) or the phantom 410

$480 is too much for a gtx 670,gigabyte gtx 670 for $400 is great deal and performs really well-

for SSD,crucial m4 128gb-

2TB 5900 rpm drive for $120-

note: for speeds, you have SSD :)
620w is overkill for single 670.550w is plenty-

i would suggest another case,if you want white, take look-

agree with the above suggestions.
parts are correct, but it seems some specific choices maybe wasting some money or buying expensive parts that don't get you anything extra.

-specific choice of ram (OC performance comes from multiplier; no longer from clock/ram; or from GPU for games)
-specific choice of SSD
-HDD (don't need a fancy one, use the SSD)
-specific choice of 670 card

-mouse (this I will not knock as much, it is personal preference, but hopefully you try it out first to make sure it is worth it).

A GTX 670 ASUS DC2T is only around 10% worse and $190 cheaper.

the cheapest non-reference cooled gtx 670 i could find was 460 and the asus was more expensive than that. I payed $650 for the msi lightning gtx 680 off ebay and that was 70 bucks cheaper than the retail store i shop at in australia. Now i don't know what cpu cooler to go with to oc my i5 3570k from 3.4ghz to 4.5ghz...

corsair h100 or nh-d14??

mind you i would like to have room in my case but would prefer performance over space

as a matter of fact,an overclocked 670 beats a stock 680 for 100 bucks less-
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_670...
note:a 670 is able to max out almost any game out there at 1080p or even higher in many cases plus they are overclocking beast and it's worth overclocking them as they easily go 1100mhz+

the 212 would also be nice as well. the 612 is like a bridge between the d14 and the 212 (kind of)

i got a really good deal for some stuff on amazon i'll post items and prices! :D
Also a top of the line gtx680 is quite a bit different to a stock one.

Corsair Enthusiast TX V2 Series 850-Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified High Performance Modular Power Supply CP-9020004-NA

Corsair Hydro Series H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CWCH100) (Cost me $100)

2 of Corsair Vengeance Blue 4 GB PC3-12800 1600mHz DDR3 240-Pin SDRAM Memory Kit for Intel and AMD Platforms - Not a Kit (Single) CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B (cost me 60 bucks)

All up including shipping from the US those 3 cost me $310 which i think is bargain. :)

you didnt need 850w. a 750w would be more than enough

there was no point of the h100 when a noctua nh-d14 cools about the same while being much cheaper

just telling you that if the memory is from different batches, they might not work properly. plus, you overpaid

I think i got my system cheap:

I just purchased most of the parts for my build so i'll show specs then add pictures later. :D

Specs:

CPU: Intel i5 3570K
CPU COOLER: Corsair H100 stock fans changed to 2 x Scythe120mm Gentle Typhoon 1850RPM Fan
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
RAM: 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz DDR3
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Lightning 2GB (Voltage Unlocked Woo :D )
SSD: Corsair Force Series 3 120GB
HDD: Western Digital WD Black 1TB
PSU: Corsair TX-850M Modular Power Supply
CASE: Aerocool X-Predator Case White Edition
Monitor: Achieva ShiMian QH270-IPSBS White 27inch 2560x1440p 16:9 LED QHD (To match my case!!)

This whole rig cost me $2000 :D

I didn't want the air cpu cooler because it takes up too much space and i would prefer smaller cooler sticking off the motherboard. The psu i can sli with later down the track. And yeah the msi lightning is voltage unlocked which is a first i think unless you solder the other cards or something like that.

You can't say 2g isn't good for all of that? ;)

^$2000?
you spent too much on eye candies bro,a 670 SLi and a 240/265GB is a necessity in a $2k build.

Since he has a Catleap, there wasn't any way he could have gotten 2 GTX 670s. One 670 should play most games on high at great fps.
