Display freezes

I have a Dell 630i PC with 8 Gb of RAM and an Intel Dual Quad Core Q8200 rocessor. I'm using a Nvidia Quadro FX 3800 graphics card aand running Windows 7 64 bit. When I run certain apps Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator the screen freezes after a while and the only solution (unacceptably) is to do a hard reboot from the front of the machine. Any guesses? I have two eSATA drives (Western Digital), a G Tech firewire and an internal Seagate SATA drive.

Try reinstalling your video card drivers.

Willard,

I updated my drivers this afternoon and restarted the PC. Still the same issue. I do have a wireless mouse and keyboard and I'm wondering if the mouse might be the culprit.
