Why does my 720p tv suck so bad with my radeon 6850?

I am using a radeon 6850 with an HDMI cable hooked up to my Samsung 720p tv. It looks so bad though like the color is washed out and its not as sharp as my laptop and thats 1300x700. Is it just because I am using a tv screen? Should I just buy a normal monitor?

You have to go to your Catalyst Control Center and do a few settings adjustment go to the Answer provided:
