Solution silverliquicity Dec 21, 2012 thats more of a sideways upgrade, just overclock your 1090t, i got mine to 3.6ghz on stock fan with no voltage tweak. 1090t is an absolute beauty.

Value is subjective though, so here are some benchmarks: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/697?vs=146 If you spend a lot of time rendering, ~10 seconds per minute might add up to being worth $200. The FX 8350 is 25% faster than the x6 1090. Not sure how that is a sideways upgrade. And the 8350 over clocks too. The question is simply whether a 25% speed boost is worth $190 to the OP.
