I'm using this mainly for home use.
I'm buying this week probably.
Budget: 500 USD MAX, I'd prefer to pay as little as possible C:

Overclocking: Yes
Location: FL, US
Parts Preference: None
Do I need to buy OS: Yes
I have a monitor already.

SSD: Corsair 60GB Nova 2 Series Solid State Drive (SSD): CSSD-V60GB2/RF2

HDD: Western Digital 500 GB Caviar Black SATA 3 Gb/s 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD5001AALS
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001GQYYSG/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all

RAM: Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB (2x4 GB Modules) 1600 MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Kit (PC3 12800) 240-Pin SDRAM KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-Modules-KHX1600C9D3K2-8GX/dp/B0037TO5C0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1344296940&sr=1-2&keywords=8GB+ddr3

Case: NZXT Source 210 -Inch ELITE-Inch Midtower Case with 3.0 USB - Black

I'm getting this because this is the cheapest case I could find with USB 3.0. Do I need USB 3.0?

CPU: AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 6550D AD3870WNGXBOX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106001

I don't want to get a Pentium + GPU because I'm not using this computer to game, so I really just want the Quad-Core over the graphics.

MOBO: ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131735

I have no idea about MOBOs, can anyone recommend a better one? Also, would I need AM3+?

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 (CMPSU-430CXV2) 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

Is this enough?

Right off the bat, the mobo and CPU are incompatible. The CPU only takes FM1 socket mobos. Not AM3+. Because your budget is $500, I'd drop the SSD, and invest that in the other components, and get one later on.

If this is for home use then you dont need a GPU and you could still go Intel, Integrated graphics will work just fine. If you have a Micro Center near you ( http://www.microcenter.com/at_the_stores/index.html ), you can pick up any Intel quad core for dirt cheap and pair it with a $100 mobo and still fit in budget.
CPUs: Any of these will suit you great and better than AMD

MOBO:

or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502

I would also hold off on the SSD, unless you can find more room in the budget and get like a Crucial M4 64Gb or OCZ Agility 64Gb, *brand new*

Case is good and PSU is enough power if no GPU. here is another good PSU for you. A little cheaper and more power efficient http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033

Oh and OS:

Actually, at MC, if you buy an i5 2500K or i5 3570K, you get $50 off the mobo.

So, get the i5 2500K and Pro 3, and it comes out to $205. That's cheaper than the i5 alone at Newegg! 380W is enough with no GPU, but if you want to add a GPU int he future, you'll want to upgrade the PSU to 450-500W.
