Hello,

I need some help.

I have recently built my first rig and didn't bother to put in a sound card (ASUS Xonar DX) until today. After shutting my comp down, I inserted the card and plugged in the power cord.

When I turned my comp back on, my monitor, which was working fine before, was not displaying anything. I had a single monitor plugged in through my EVGA GTX 480.

I'm not sure what's going on here. I plugged my monitor into the mb's vga and it's working normally. My 480 isn't even a week old, so, I don't know why it wouldn't be working. The fan is also running the 480.

Any suggestions?

Is your on board graphics turned off in the bios?
If not... go turn it off.

And you have attatched your monitor to the outputs on the GTX 480 it's self?

I'll turn off the on board graphics but it was running fine without me having to do that before, and yes I had the monitor plugged directly into the 480

Return with info on what happens :)

Wow, so... When I turned my pc off to go into bios I had 53 updates for Windows. So i plugged my monitor into my 480 and it's working like nothing was wrong.. I didn't even have to go into bios to turn off the board graphics; which by the way should I still turn it off?
