I built my computer several years ago and up until a few weeks ago, I was able to play pretty much any game with no appreciable fps lag. Now, even the simplest games are vitrually unplayable as my fps has dropped into the teens. I have cleaned the registry, hard drives, scanned the entire system with Malwarebytes, CCCleaner, spybot, Avast. I have defragged and repaired the disk. I have removed the card, cleaned the contacts and replaced it (which seemed to help a bit, but not enough to make things playable). What else can I do before I start replacing parts?
