I have an intel pentium 4 3.0ghz with ht technology. 2 gb ddr2 ram and geforce gt220 graphics card.
can i just upgrade the card to play latest games? I have played singularity with decent graphics.

You can't play BF3, but you can play a decent amount of games - 660 might do, or 560.

i am a newb and don't know if its a 2.0 but its a 16x and i have used cards like 8600gt now i have a gt220.
gt220 sucks btw

i think my motherboard supports intel pentium d 925 and 820.

Lostmyclan has good cards, or a HD4670 is a nice agp card to have if you have a socket 478 mobo.

When people post benchmarks of some fairly recent games with this socket, people still yell "fake" since it is rather astonishing that technology from 10 years ago can bear modern gfx features. You won't game up to 1080, but 720 with no AA is fine.
