I am going to buy the new AMD FX Piledriver 4100 and don't know what board to get with it, got one here but not to sure, any help?

Ah the FX 4100 is Bulldozer the 4300 is Piledriver. Which one are you getting? Considering how bad Bulldozer performed and the fact that it even got beaten by the older Phenom II that it was suppose to replace I wouldn't bother with Bulldozer.

The gigabyte board is a nice board, I have one myself. As far as the proc. rds is right, I would go with the 4300 also. Basically same price and better performance!

The motherboard you chose is great but i strongly advise you to NOT buy the FX 4100.
Buy this CPU instead.

thanks for all your help, but was also wondering about the BIOS updates I would have to do if I DID buy a piledriver?

It depends on your motherboard. If the motherboard doesnt support Piledriver out of the box you will need a Phenom II or Athlon II to get the computer to boot so you can flash the BIOS.

The one you posted the link to in your first post will accept Bulldozer and Piledriver out of the box.
