sirs,
hi i am building a new rig for myself which is long overdue since playing on a pc my friend gave me for free back in 2001/2002, it can barely do anything these days and i have decided its time to make a new one. my target end result is to be able to play multiplayer bf3 at over 50 fps on my 22 inch samsun with a resolution of 1680x1050. i am figuring that an machine that can run bf3 like that can do anything else i want just as nicely.

Also of note; i have been offered a hd4890 video card from a pal, which i could use to get me by, if its worth waiting longer for better options on cards.

any suggestions or insight shared would be greatly appreciated.
regards
gerry

id chuck most of it out

1:just get a regular heatsink like the hyper 212 evo. its cheap and good
2:id rather get a gigabyte z77x-ud5h since its just as much but has more features
3; cl11 ram? are you kidding me? id get something like gskill ripjaws x 1600mhz cl9 2x4gb instead. you wont ever need 32gb of ram unless you are doing computation tasks. 8gb is already too much for day to day use
4:agility 3 is bad. get something like samsung 830 128gb at scan for 76 pounds. much better performing and much more reliable
5:you will never need 800w. id get something like a xfx 650w instead.

a nice video card is a asus 7850. they sell for 190 pounds usually. if you want to get even more performance, id get something like a gigabyte gtx670 and it would max out all games out there at 1080p. the 7850 is a better option given that you are running only at 1050p
