Is there anything that isn't compatible (mobo+cpu, or RAM+mobo for example), or could be improved upon?

Thanks in advance.

This build with os=876$ without os = 776

or with pro3 837 / 737

the case is your choice but check here before purchasing. with the money saved from hdd and cd drive i would get a 7850 if you can get the cash. go with the build including extreme4

I posted a build that will get more out of your money so if you scratch the hdd os and cd rom then you will come under budget with a much better build. also i don't see a gpu posted in your post. If your not overclocking then go with the i5 3450.

You forgot to list the 7870 video card in your OP.

Your build seems pretty solid based on your wishlist on NewEgg. Actually looking through your build closely, I do have to tip my hat off to you on finding some good sales on the parts as well as mail in rebates. That said take a look at some of the suggestions that spicey_benie made as that's a good build too with room for extra goodies, maybe the power supply you listed instead.

Cheers!

What makes that AZrock mobo better than the one I had chosen?

Thanks alot. I searched around for some reviews and decided to go with the ASRock Z77 pro 3, RAM, and Tower you recommended you recommended. I'm stilll on the fence which CPU and GPU to buy however.
