Cpu help

Hello,
i received a free computer and took it apart and noticed the fan bracket is broke and the fan wasnt in place. b4 this i tried to turn computer on and heard the bios if thats right and looked up to tones as an overheated cpu. the cpu looks fine but not sure iof i just need to replace the fan properly or if the cpu if fried.

The cpu could be fried, but you wont know until you get the fan fixed on the heatsink. If the fan does not run or spin up to speed the system should shut down so no damage will be done to processor, but if system is repeatedly cycled it might cause damage. Just order a replacement heatsink and fan for the processor and give it a try, don't forget to order thermal compound for the unit
