I've been searching for days and cannot find an answer to my problem...

I'm not a network guy by any means, mostly hardware and software based stuff....just a heads up...haha.

I started a new job where I also have to be a sort of network admin.

There is a computer lab here with approx. 20 pc's, all with XP Pro.

They are connected to a server, running Server 2008 R2 Standard.

Now, I'd like to change some of the performance settings (visual effects) for all users for each pc, approx. 20 users per pc.

How can I do this? I know I could go into each account on each pc to change it, but that'll take 32 years.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

On the server, under Administrative Tools, you will find a Group Policy Management snap it.

From there you could create a GPO (Group Policy Object) and configure the settings. I would really recommend reading on Microsoft's technet on how to do this.

This link may be a good place to start to read up on it. Not only will it help you with your current issue, it will help will many future issues as well:
