XFX Radeon 6870 1gb

So I've read up on this card, and I'm not sure what the reviews mean... I know it get hot.... But I have a few questions. And I won't be play graphic intensive games like BF3 or Skyrim or etc... I just want to play some games, maybe TF2, some of the older games, not necessarily1.) the newest games out there...

1.) How hot does it get? How hot should it get? And will what I plan on doing bring it to that temp?

2.) Is the performance good? How does it compare to a Geforce card?

3.) How can I keep it cooler if it does start to run hot?

It will get probably 115 degrees f it wil not too hot to effect the system.

It is a very good card performance wise especially for older games.

You can water cool, you can get a pci fan you can get an after market cooler,depends on budget.

do you have any PCI coolers that you recommend? And the critical temp is supposed to be 105.... soooo.... ya.

If you are referring to the XFX double d version it should not get hot at all.

The HD 6870 is a very efficient card and typically runs cool.

Do you have a link to the specific card you are considering?

Only $10 more and it should put to rest any concerns you have about the thermals on the other version of the card.
