What kind of performance should I anticipate?

So I'm building my first computer, used primarily for gaming.
I'm only 18, and my budget is rather low, attempting to stick in the $800 range.

This is basically what I'm looking at

intel i5-2500k 3.3GHz processor
Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA 6Gb/s
Corsair Vengeance Desktop Memory Kit - 8GB (2x 4GB), DDR3-1600MHz
ASUS P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Motherboard
Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply

The graphics card is where i'm waffling. I'm looking at XFX Radeon HD 6950 Video Card - 2GB, GDDR5

But if anyone could recommend anything in a similar price range i'm all ears.

Oh and I will be playing on a 21 inch 1080p monitor

ANYWAYS, to my question. What kind of performance on what settings can i expect in Skyrim, BF3, and other similar games?

Thanks

Do not buy that power supply. It's bad. It won't be enough for the HD 6950. I'd suggest at least this one:

On BF3 you'll be able to play with everything on ultra except multisample antialiasing disabled. You might be able to set it at 2x.

On skyrim, if you overclock your CPU to at least 4 GHz, you'll be able to max it out. It's really CPU dependent:
