Alright, I am building a system for my brother

Intel 2500k
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler
MSI Z77A-G43
8 gb g-skill ram in 2x4 configuration
Antec 300 case
Asus dvd burner
Seasonic 620w modular power supply

All of these parts are bought and ready to be put together, he is saving up for a graphics card. We both prefer Nvidia (no offense to the AMD people). He will use the machine mostly for gaming, in particular LoL, and Guild Wars 2. I am conflicted about the graphics card he should get. For his use a GTX 560ti would probably be great, but he doesn't want to upgrade the machine at all for at least 2 years, so we were considering a GTX 670. I would like some opinions from the community on this, is the GTX 670 worth the $400 US dollars, or is a GTX 560ti/570 going to be enough?

Also I am aware Guild Wars 2 doesn't have official system requirements yet, but I doubt it will be as taxing as BF 3 or MW 3.

Thanks for the help guys

Ironslice is right, the 670 is where it's at!

Another question to ask yourself could be, do you get a 560ti now and in 2 years get a 760 (or similar)? If GW2 is really the most taxing game you are going to play, I can't recommend more than the 560ti. If he is going to start playing BF3 or similar then the 560ti won't cut it on the highest details (so in my case I bought a 670).

I think you should answer that question and then go from there :)

The GTX 670 is the card with the best value on the market right now; it's definitely worth $400. The question is, are you willing to spend it?

A GTX 560 ti and a GTX 570 will max out any games right now. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

I personally have a hard time spending $400 on any one part. PCs depreciate in value percentage wise faster than automobiles.

May want to go with a GTX 570 or the HD 7850 instead.

But then again that is just me. If you have the extra cash go for the GTX 670.
