  1. Hey there. I will list prices from MSY, but link from PCCaseGear because they have better detailed info. I too have a preference for nvidia, but at that budget it's tough ATM... until the gtx 660Ti arrives, it's just too much to stretch to a gtx 670 :) which makes the 7870 a great buy, performs similar to a gtx580. Not a big fan of the cheaper LCS either, so I have listed a great performing Air CPU Cooler to fit in your budget.

    CPU - Intel 3570K $235.00

    CPU Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO - $36

    MOBO - Asrock z77 EXtreme4 - $145

    RAM - G.Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO 8GB - $55

SSD - SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive 120GB - $99

    GPU - Gigabyte 7870 OC 2GB - $329

    CASE - Coolermaster HAF RC-912A - $99
    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_31&products_id=15892

    PSU - Antec High Current Gamer 620W - $93

    $1091
  2. No SLI or CF = no need for a Z77-Extreme4 motherboard.

This one should be good enough
