5000$ budget Workstation for VFX(houdini, Maya)

I try to make workstation in 5000$

Below list is around 4500$ in Amazon.
Could you give me some advices?

what do you plan on doing even? you dont need 4 680s to do work. a quadro card is a better choice. you kinda overkill every component

Yeah, a quadro card would be a better investment, they're much better for CAD etc

I'll do 3D VFX work as Houdini, Maya.

I personally don't think your going to need dual Xeons, i would stick to LGA 2011 with i7 extreme at $500, and at $5000 the word budget doesn't make sense. I'm not that sure what Houdini Maya VFX work is but if it is really that consuming continue with Xeon.

And i would say it's better to get Two H100's or two CM Evo's.

Altay. Could you explain more why is Xeon is consumin in compare with i7 extreme?
Because I expect dual xeon is much faster than i7 extreme. Is it waste..?

But as you know Quadro k5000 is similar price with dual Xeon.

Dual Xeon 2650 + GTX 680 VS i7 3930 extreme + Quadro k5000.
Which one is better?

i7 3930k + k5000 will destroy the 680s in computation tasks. if the operations that you are doing are CPU based, the xeons will do better. if the tasks are on the GPU, the k5000 will destroy 4 680s easily (given nvidia optimizes their drivers differently)
