I7, 8 cores, geforce 420m (notebook series nvidia) crashes on low quality games

I had just recently bought a Sony VAIO laptop and it seems to be crashing on pretty much any game with a .exe that runs off of directx
If anyone wants to help, I can post any information necessary,
appreciate it.

Well its not really a gaming laptop but you could try turning performance up to high and make sure you have latest drivers and such my i7 w a 550m runs even bf3 not on ultra or anything but it runs it .. barly lol i have full desktop for games..

I can run bf bc 2 at high fine, that game has never crashed.
I played LoL and it crashes every once in a while I don't understand.
As well, the sound skips when it starts to crash

I would check temps if you are getting high temps then get a laptop cooler w a good fan on it..

Its probly getting hot oh and look at bottom fan intake as these on laptops get cloged up quickly!!
